Characteristics of the Porcelain:

Rapid temperature changes may cause breakage; please do not place hot vessels into water or onto cold cooking surfaces. Also, avoid placing the item in the microwave immediately after removing it from the refrigerator. Over time, surface crazing (fine cracks) may appear, but this does not affect usability.
